Organic. Vegan. Raw.
The vibe was chill as I walked down the stairs into this little nourishing food oasis.
I decided on the raw pizza and raw vegetable burger for my main course. The three pizza topping choices were: Italian veg, pesto or Maui Waui pizza. I chose the Maui Waui topped with tenderized kale, pineapple and crumbly walnut ‘cheese’. The veggie burger (patties made from walnuts, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, veggies) came topped with guacamole and served on a lettuce leaf bun! My friend recommended that I try the chocolate hemp seed pie for dessert, and I’m sure glad I did….Raw pie bliss indeed.
I felt energized after my meal at Gorilla Food. It is the place to go for raw food in Vancouver. I wish I could lunch there every day.
