Nuba is a Vancouver gem, serving quality, inexpensive, hearty Lebanese food.
Their falafel is cause for celebration! Victor’s falafel recipe is a secret mix of organic chickpeas, fava beans, veggies and spices.

The Falafel Plate (served with hot sauce, taboulleh, hummus, tahini, salad, pita & brown rice or roasted potatoes)

Najib’s Special (crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon & sea salt, served with tahini)
I also highly recommend:
Garden Falafel Pita ~ rolled pita bread with Victor’s must try falafel, organic greens, home made pickle, tahini, slices of avocado and hummus.
Mjadra ~ organic green lentils and rice with onions and jalapeno, served with avocado and carmelized onions. This dish could turn lentil skeptics into lovers.
Locations in Vancouver:
Nuba Cafe ~ 1206 Seymour ~ 778.371.3266
This little Nuba location is ideal for take out (perhaps to the nearby park). I have their number on speed dial.
Nuba Restaurant ~ 207 West Hastings ~ 604.688.1655
The West Hastings location that opened earlier this year in the basement of the Dominion building, is the perfect place to take a date… and order La Feast, a two course vegetarian mezze sampler for two (to veganize, just ask them to hold the feta and yogurt).
* New locations update
Nuba Cafe ~ 146 East 3rd Avenue ~ 604.568.6727
