Budgies is a vegetarian burrito shack located on Kingsway between Main and Broadway in Vancouver. It’s open everyday from noon till ten.
The space has a thrifty retro charm with lovely turquoise walls (the exact shade I dream of painting my entire apartment). The burritos are big and satisfying, with rice and your choice of refried or black beans, whole wheat or flour tortilla, and three choices of salsa. I usually order the Mr. Jones burrito, asking them to veganize by replacing the dairy with guacamole. I add extra sliced avocado as well! This is a top spot for cheap eats in Vancouver.

I love Budgies! I usually get the Blair Stanley – the chipotle tofu is super tasty. Thanks for posting this review of one of the best (and underrated) places to eat in town.

Mmmm, I love Budgies – the food barely tops the garage sale fab decor!

Also, that burrito looks awesome. I didn’t know you could get extra avocado slices!
