One of my greatest passions in life is to encourage people to think about where their food is coming from and give them inspiration to make healthier and more compassionate choices.
A couple of years ago I was drinking cow’s milk and eating steak until I decided to do a little research and found out the truth about its production. I think the most important thing is that we become aware. I have always loved food. I’m loving it more than ever now that I’m discovering the abundance of delicious (and healthier) dishes that don’t contain animal products.
There are still those unappealing token veg items on many menus, but options are getting better. They will continue to improve if we give our feedback and requests to the restaurants. Also, email in your veg requests to your grocery store!
We, as consumers, have the power.
I was THRILLED to see Jonathan Safran Foer on Ellen today. In this first video clip, Jonathan Safran Foer talks with Ellen about the research for his book “Eating Animals” and what he discovered about animals being raised for food and dairy. Check it out…
In this next video clip, Jonathan Safran Foer answers audience questions…
“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.” — Henry Miller
