Sounds bliss – and very easy to make!
I’ve made mango ice cream in the same method before (using Indian ‘kesar’ mangoes!)
If you’ve never had them (kesar type) then try get hold of them this may/june/july time in the indian quarter in Van.

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful picture and recipe. I’m really looking forward to making some raw ice cream, and also pudding in the near future.

Robyn — I get raw cacao powder at Body Energy Club (http://www.bodyenergyclub.ca/) on Davie Street at Howe downtown. I’ve also picked it up at Choices, but Body Energy has better prices!

I just discovered the idea of using frozen bananas as an ice cream base a few months ago in a raw foods class. It’s life changing!
Lauren — You rock!! Now, whenever we want a treat, we can eat something delicious yet totally healthy. It’s easy to experiment with different recipes too…like adding cacao nibs, etc. I want to try adding some lucuma powder next time for a hint of caramel flavour.

[...] I kept eyeing Cacao Bliss in the grocery store (at $12 for an 8 oz. jar) and finally decided to give it a try. I picked up some organic strawberries that I thought would go nicely with it as well. Cacao Bliss by Artisana contains organic raw coconut butter, organic coconut oil, organic agave syrup, organic cacao and organic cacao butter. The smell is divine. (Sometimes I just open the jar to smell it!) Next, I think I’ll add a spoonful to homemade ice cream. [...]
